About Byron's Cove
A Safe Harbor. A Fresh Start. A Better Future.
Byron’s Cove is a structured sober living residence created to provide a safe, stable, substance-free environment for adults committed to recovery and rebuilding their lives.
We understand that recovery does not end when treatment ends. Returning to everyday life can bring challenges involving housing, employment, finances, relationships, transportation, accountability, and rebuilding healthy routines. Byron’s Cove was created to help bridge that gap.
Our first residence is centered primarily on sober living, recovery, structure, and accountability. Residents live in a supportive environment where maintaining sobriety, respecting the household, accepting personal responsibility, participating in recovery, pursuing employment or other approved productive activities, and working toward greater independence are expected.
Byron’s Cove is more than a place to stay. Our goal is to provide an environment where residents can establish stability while developing the habits, skills, resources, and support systems needed to move forward successfully.
Our Approach
The Byron’s Cove approach is built around four principles:
Recovery
Supporting residents in maintaining a substance-free lifestyle, strengthening recovery habits, and developing a dependable recovery support system.
Responsibility
Encouraging residents to take ownership of their choices, commitments, household responsibilities, finances, recovery, and personal goals.
Stability
Helping residents establish healthy routines, employment, financial habits, community connections, and a stable foundation for their future.
Independence
Preparing residents to transition successfully from structured sober living toward sustainable independent living.
More Than Sober Housing
Recovery affects many areas of a person’s life. Byron’s Cove therefore encourages residents to work toward individualized goals involving:
Recovery and accountability
Employment and career readiness
Life-skills development
Financial literacy and savings
Healthy routines and relationships
Community resource connections
Reentry support when applicable
Independent-living preparation
These areas form the foundation of Project Reclaim, the Byron’s Cove resident-development initiative designed to help individuals Recover, Reclaim, Build, and Move Forward.
The Story Behind Byron’s Cove
Byron’s Cove was created in loving memory of Byron, whose life was profoundly affected by alcohol and substance-use addiction.
Throughout his journey, Byron experienced periods of recovery as well as setbacks. His struggles eventually contributed to involvement with the criminal justice system and incarceration. Following his release, he encountered another challenge faced by many people rebuilding their lives—finding stability, structure, and a safe place to live while trying to move forward.
His journey demonstrated how difficult recovery and reentry can become when a person is simultaneously trying to address housing, employment, finances, relationships, transportation, grief, and other challenges.
Byron’s story became the inspiration for creating a place where people who are committed to changing their lives can have an opportunity to establish stability while continuing their recovery.
His name and legacy now represent something larger:
Hope. Recovery. Accountability. Opportunity. And the possibility of a different future.

But the foundation of Byron’s Cove is deeply personal.
As Byron’s sister, Lori witnessed firsthand the effects that addiction, incarceration, grief, unstable housing, and repeated attempts to rebuild can have on an individual and the people who love them.
Rather than allowing Byron’s struggles to be the end of his story, Lori chose to transform his memory into an opportunity to help others.
Byron’s Cove is part of that legacy.
It represents a safe harbor where individuals committed to recovery can have structure, accountability, encouragement, and an opportunity to work toward something better.
